TIPS FOR PREPARING FOR YOUR PHOTO SHOOT
You would like your photos to be taken by me and give me a very high level of trust. I am happy to live up to this trust.
You will help me a lot with the preparation if you look at the tips, which I will send to you by e-mail after your booking.
You can download these tips here in advance.
WORKFLOW AFTER THE SHOOT.
After a "Connect" or "Classic" shoot we select the photos together immediately after the shoot.
After an "Executive"-Shoot I can also create a web gallery. With this gallery you can choose your favourite photos at home or wherever you like.
All of your selected photos will be carefully processed.
Careful means: You look really good on your photos, but nobody immediately thinks "Photoshop!
After three working days (Mon - Fri) you will receive a link to download your photos.
Very rarely it happens that one of my customers doesn't like his photos.
Maybe we did not talke enough. Or you had a "Bad Hair Day"?
Nothing is impossible!
In this case we simply repeat the shoot.
That costs you nothing, after all I want you to be satisfied with your photos and recommend me!
And it really happens so rarely that I can afford this guarantee!
If you look at the photo of me here, you will see that I am very familiar with a "Bad Hair Day"!
FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to smile on my photos?
You don't have to do anything, after all, you are with me voluntarily! In most cases we take some photos at the beginning with relaxed facial expressions. You should neither smile strained nor look grumpy. Then we'll see if you can look a little friendlier. That doesn't look the same for everyone and some people would rather be binding and decisive than friendly and courteous.
What is retouching?
Retouching means the editing of photos using software. Skin blemishes, small scars, linting or similar minor disturbances are removed, and your teeth may also be lightly whitened. Retouching does not include correcting hairstyles, clothing or jewellery. Such image manipulations often require hours of precise manual work and must therefore, if desired, be remunerated additionally.
Can I show up to you without an appointment?
Unfortunately, no, because I want to be able to take enough trouble-free time for you and my other customers.
Can I do an internship with you?
Unfortunately not. Since I only work on appointments, it is quite possible that I am not at all in my studio on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but on Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm. Or that I shoot outside Frankfurt, even in Berlin or Paris. Unfortunately, this cannot be combined with an internship.
Can I also get black-and-white photos from you?
Of course. Even in colour! Seriously: You will always receive your photos in colour and black and white.
Do you save my photos?
No, I'm not allowed to. Unless you wish. Then I need that in writing from you. It’s all about data protection!
I USED TO WORK FOR A BANK. TODAY I'M DOING SOMETHING SOLID. :-)
Already at the tender age of 16 I "organized" an apprenticeship as a photographer. My parents didn't think it was so great and "advised" me to graduate from high school. After that I learned the very respectable profession of a bank clerk at Volksbank in my hometown Dorsten. This was followed by a trainee programm as a corporate client advisor at Commerzbank in Münster. Later I headed the controlling department of a logistics company in Saxony. In 2002 I turned my hobby into my profession. Further training at numerous workshops in Germany and abroad, among others with the internationally awarded Padraic Deasy in Ireland, Richard Mayfield and Damien Lovegrove from England.
I am a member of FREELENS e.V.
My last name "Kleinespel" is pronounced that way: Klein-Espel - with emphasis on the second syllable :-)
Legal information in english (since we are in Germany, only the german version is legally valid)
I often have to refuse appointments because my calendar is full. It's all the more annoying when customers don't show up without canceling or cancel shortly before.
Unfortunately, I have to charge 25% of the agreed fee if you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours in advance. If you simply do not attend your appointment ("no-show") I will charge 50% of the agreed fee.
Please confirm your appointment by e-mail with your address and telephone number within one day!
What do copyright, copyright & right of use mean?
The copyright (some also say "copyright"), or rather the authorship of the photos, always remains with the photographer or owner of the studio. The copyright cannot be sold, at most it can be inherited. Even my two sons would have to go quite far to acquire the copyright...
It is different with the right of use. In principle, you acquire the complete rights of use for your photos from me. You can use the photos on Facebook, order prints, create photo books and much more.
Like every photographer, I am happy when my photos are published. I am even more happy when my name is mentioned. But often the name is misappropriated.
The provision of § 13 UrhG gives every photographer the right to recognition of his authorship of the work created by him, i.e. the photo. The photographer therefore has a legal claim to the naming of his name. My colleague Enric Mammen has examined this topic in detail here. Thank you Enric!
